Fairfax Stars 16u Boys Premier showcase team had a very successful 2013 Summer.  Last year the team was in many Silver Bracket finals and Silver Championships and this year, never saw Silver, as they were in every Gold championship bracket finishing no less than 5th in competitive showcases (Hoop Group - Pitt Jam Fest, Philly Jam Fest, Southern Jam Fest, & Hoop Group Invitational, Big Shots – DC Dual DC Assault and DC Takeover, where the Fairfax Stars battled to the end against Team Takeover 16u elite) that had as many as 32 to 64 teams.

The worst this team got this year was 16th and that was against a tough loss among one of the Nation’s top 10 teams in the country.  The Fairfax Stars 16u Premier Showcase team surely represented strongly and continues to put Fairfax Stars boys program on the map and recognized as one of the top 2015 teams in the DC area as well as in the Region/Nation.

Many of the boys are now getting college looks from teams such as: Columbia, St. Peters, Monmouth (NJ), Radford, Newberry College, St. Rose, Liberty to name a few and several other DI and DII schools.

The true root to the success of this year was the fact that these players played HARD, everyone contributed and they played for each other every game.  Many college coaches will be following these guys as they prepare for their Jr. year of their High School season this Fall/Winter 2013/2014 Season.  I am very excited about this group and their development and they have truly represented the Fairfax Stars Boys program very impressively!
